The
recent Op Ed in the New York Times, exposing once and for all again the
depravity, incompetence and danger posed by Donald Chrump. The piece was written ostensibly by a single
individual, though it seems clear that there is some number of high level,
unelected White House officials who are protecting us from the Toxic Orange Gas
Cloud enveloping the White House. You know,
the guy that appointed them as part of his Be Best People administration. Everyone knows that a gas cannot be easily
sequestered; it will ooze out of any container that is not air-tight. There is nothing air-tight about Chez Chrump –
the dump formerly known as the White House.
A leakier structure has never existed.
Some
day we will know who it was that penned this now infamous Op Ed, the likes of
which has never been seen. I am willing
to bet that in the end what we will have is a Murder on The Orient Express
scenario, where (spoiler alert) there was not simply one guilty party, but
everyone on the train turned out to have been in on the act.
Chrump Has Nothing to Fear
But Bob Woodward’s Fear Itself
Bob
Woodward, in his new book, Fear: Trump in
the White House (What, no loathing?) reports that Presidon’t Chrump was convinced
to step back from his reprehensible support for neo-Nazis and white
supremacists after their torch-lit (What, no pitchforks?) Unite the White march
in August 2017, which ultimately resulted in the death of a counter
protester. Chrump later regretted taking
back his “both sides”/“very fine people” defense of the Charlottesville Racism Rally,
saying, “That was the biggest fucking mistake I've made. You never make those
concessions. You never apologize. I didn't do anything wrong in the first
place. Why look weak. I can't believe I got forced to do that. That's the worst
speech I've ever given. I'm never going to do anything like that again.”
(Except for the “worst speech I’ve ever given” part, which he does every
day. Personally, I would think that the
worst fucking mistake Chrump ever
made was Don, Jr. Literally. Or maybe Stormy Daniels.
It
remains unclear if prior to that Chrump had said, “I was the one responsible
for killing Osama bin Laden, but Obama took all the credit. If I hadn’t forced Obama to show his birth certificate,
he never would have gone after bin Laden.
Everyone knows that. My biggest
regret so far is that bin Laden is still dead. Or is he?
I never saw his death certificate, did you?”
As the
unending procession of lies begins to catch up with our presidon’t, the abyss
between reality and Chrump’s deepening delusional state now spans light years. As he desperately clings to power, his defense
of the indefensible becomes progressively pathetic. At a campaign rally in September 2017, Chrump
told his malignant minions, “The mob takes the Fifth. If you're innocent, why are you taking the
Fifth Amendment?” That, unsurprisingly,
was 27 years after Chrump pleaded the Fifth during his divorce from his first
wife Ivana in 1990, to avoid answering questions about adultery.
I cannot
understand why there is such a reticence to call Chrump a liar. He is inarguably a pathological liar. He cannot speak for more than a few seconds
without lying. More important, he does
not think lying is wrong. As long as
that lying serves him. Chrump did not
care for Lyin’ Ted Cruz. Although Chrump
is now campaigning for the only person in American politics more reviled than
Chrump himself. For his part, Cruz
called Chrump “a sniveling coward.” Cruz
also said, “This man is a pathological liar.
He doesn’t know the difference between truth and lies. He lies, practically every word that comes
out of his mouth. He has a pattern that I
think is straight out of a psychology textbook.
His response is to accuse everyone else of lying…The man cannot tell the
truth...” So Ted, does this mean he is
actually not campaigning for you?
ISIS
shouts, “Death to America.” Republican’ts
are actually making it happen.
I.
Mangrey rebounding. More Mueller please.
