Joe Biden announced yesterday that he is pardoning 6500 prisoners in federal prison for simple possession of cannabis. He has requested that governors “pardon simple state marijuana possession offenses. Just as no one should be in a federal prison solely for possessing marijuana, no one should be in a local jail or state prison for that reason, either.” Biden also called on the Attorney General and Secretary of Health and Human Services to review the multi-talented herb’s status as a Schedule One controlled substance.
He seemed have a very dry mouth during the announcement.
