And So That Was Christmas, And What Have You Done

Well, that’s two major holidays down and one to go. Festivus and Christmas are now in the books, with only the flogging and wishing a not-so-fond farewell to this year as we desperately drag in the next one. We here at Paying Attention™ will be hard at work in the coming days, finishing up our (hopefully not too dire) predictions for 2026. The first installment is expected later today, so don’t stray too far. Unless Santa left you some Rent-A-Coma, then by all means, knock yourself out…so to speak.

For today, we have a little poem for your listening pleasure:

‘Twas the day after Christmas, and all o’er the place,

We still have to deal with that loud orange face.

He’s ruining ev’rything, that’s all he does.

We wish that he isn’t, we wish he was was.

 

We woke after Christmas, hoping he’d gone,

But we’re still in the clutches of Dangerous Don.

He talked to a child re Santa before Christmas day,

And all he could muster was “I won PA.”

He’s bombing and killing and fucking up shit,

We have to get rid of this gutless half-wit.

We can’t draw or quarter or feather and tar,

But off he must go, he has gone too, too far.

 

The menacing clown will bring down us all,

If we don’t do something to hasten his fall.

We’ll march in the streets again when it gets warm,

Meantime let’s hope we’re not fatally harmed.

 

So here’s to us winning, and ousting this fraud.

Let’s hope there is something resembling God,

To send this old psycho far, far away,

And get back our lives by next Christmas Day*

In 1953 Sir Edmund Hillary and Nepali Sherpa Tenzing Norgay (who did all the real work) were the “first” to summit the world’s highest peak. Now, Everest looks more like a popular ride at Disney World – long lines of hairless apes trudging inch-by-inch.

It began with Watergate, which was actually the name of the hotel where Nixon’s idiot “plumbers” ransacked Democratic National Committee’s headquarters in order to cheat in the 1972 election, an election that Nixon was clearly going to run away with in a landslide. Instead, his minions were caught red-handed, followed by a massive coverup, followed by the then-intrepid/now disgraced Bob Woodward and his partner at the Washington Post Carl Berstein brining down the Nixon administration and causing the early exit of paranoid sociopath Richard Nixon halfway through his second term. Nixon was “not a crook”. He was much worse. I’d take him back in a heartbeat today.

The “Gate” Keeper

There were many “-gates” after that over the years, but never have there been so many in one term of one administration. Every single grifting ghoul Trump has appointed to his incompetent cabinet has their very own ‘gate’. This is a feature, not a bug.

We need a real Watergate-like ‘gate’ today. You know, like a Keystone Cop cover-up of a long-time friendship with a notorious, maniacal child sex-trafficker, or something like that.

Anything that results in the excision of the malignant miscreant asap who keeps “gating” us at every turn. If we don’t get rid of this tumor in the Remains of the White House, the damage to everything we believe in, regardless of how much of that is more potentiality than actuality, will be irreparable, at least in my lifetime. Frankly, I’m just not that into that.

Professional racist Darnold Trump has lately been more obsessed than usual with Somali immigrants many of whom have settled in Minnesota. He trashes them, claiming they have destroyed Minnesota with their constant criming. As always, he is projecting.  Il Douche also trashes their homeland. Trump talks about Somalis the way he talked about Mexicans when he launched his campaign from and to hell.

Jeffrey Epstein’s ex-best friend Donald Trump has his Department of Trump Justice lying overtime to cover up Trump’s intimate involvement with the conveniently dead pedophile/child sex trafficker Epstein.

Trump was forced to sign into law the Epstein Transparency Act, which legally required the DOTJ to release ALL Epstein files on December 19. As you might be aware, the 19^th was last Friday. Some files previously made public mysteriously disappeared from the government website. Also, a mere 5% of new material was made available, much of which was aimed at tying Bill Clinton to Epstein. So, we have both hanky and panky with these files. You might also be aware that 5% is a bit less than 100%.

Our forensics experts had a go at one of the recently released documents, many of which were heavily redacted, without the explanations that were required by the new law.

After our team had their way with it, some interesting tidbit revealed themselves

We are not entirely sure what it all means, but as more and more documents are wrested away from the Trump cover-up team, we are likely to get a much clearer picture of the intimate Trump/Epstein connection. We already have a pretty good idea, but the mountain of proof that likely exists within the still illegally hidden mountain range of documents, should put any doubts that Trump was at the very least well aware of the depths of Epstein’s depravity and criminality.

It’s Only (Undeserved) Money

Who says you can’t teach an old dick new tricks? Maybe it’s because hell is freezing over. Or is today just the first day of winter? Either way, Mitt Romney took far too many decades to figure out what those with IQs have known for most of his sheltered, money-for-nothing-and-lots-of-it life. The relative tax burden in this country is dumb. Well, not so much dumb as pure, unadulterated evil. Not saying this to be mean, just honest.

Anyway, Willard Mitt Romney apparently just awoke from his wealth coma and wrote an op-ed for the New York Times titled “Tax The Rich, Like Me” in which he told readers that the wealthiest Americans should pay more in taxes. Wow, where did old Mittens come up with such a brilliant idea?

What a fucking genius.

The “corporations are people, my friend” guy opined that “it’s time for rich people like me to pay more.” No shit, asshole.

Fool’s-gold-plated goofball Don Trump used some of his limited time between naps to officially introduce his latest grift – the $1,000,000 Trump Gold Card. Besides the sheer vulgarity of the idea, how many more things can this pathetic, desperate little ego machine put his soon-to-be-reviled (by the rest of us) name on?

Is this AI, or is he actually awake?

For any idiot willing to cough up $1M (plus the $150,000 processing fee and likely some number of under-the-table bribes) can be fast-tracked to American citizenshit. Hey all you white foreigners dying to be part of a dying nation, your big chance is here at last. No muss, no fuss, just cough up a mil and you can be a real live God-fearing, Trump-worshiping American. Oh, did we mention you had better love our sundowning leader, or else? If not, you could lose your deposit. And much more.

The premise is that by having $1M to burn just to become part of the decimated democracy disguised as America, you will automatically be worthy of being a model citizen. Of course in Trump’s America, a model citizen is someone who only commits white collar crime…in white skin.

As everyone knows, amassing obscene wealth guarantees forthrightness. Having seven figures to toss away to get your hand stamped for entry into what was once the most powerful nation, now global pariah is a guarantee of getting only the best people. Rich people are smarter, nicer and never bother anyone. Just ask the likes of Jeffrey Epstein, Bernie Madoff, fElon Musk, Jeff Bezos, PeterThiel, Rupert Murdoch, Steve Bannon, Mohammad bin Salman, at least half of the reprobates in Trump’s cabinet and of course, convicted rapist and tax cheat, and insurrection leader Donald Trump himself. The best people. Who would never do anything to harm anyone.

We simply cannot have all those tired, poor huddled masses yearning to breathe free, who came here for 150-plus years and contributed to what had become a melting pot of diversity, progress, innovation and community. I say ‘had’ become because thanks to the grandson of one illegal immigrant the pot is melting and the country is running away from its legacy of welcoming strangers. Funny thing, welcoming strangers was an important act to the guy called Jesus. The guy these hypocrites claim to believe in.

Like every other idea Trump has, it will no doubt turn into something fantastic…to poop on.
