Sometimes
a headline makes its way in front of the eyes of the staff here at Paying
Attention that makes our heads spin. Once the spinning stops we often feel the
need to respond. The article below such headlines typically becomes inconsequential here
at the secret, undisclosed Fortress of Attitude, and rarely gets read.
After
extensive behind-the-scenes wheeling and dealing, President Joe Biden and his
team managed to secure the release of several Americans and dissident Russians
released from Russian captivity. You might remember that Trump bragged that
once he was re-elected, his hero Putin would simply release one of his prisoners.
As always, he had no plan to offer, just braggadocio (i.e., wet, stanky
bullshit).
After
the prisoners were released, the following exchange occurred
Reporter:
“Trump said he could've gotten the hostages out without giving anything in
exchange. What do you say to that?”
Biden:
“Why didn't he do it when he was president?”
A day
later, the following headline was seen on the internets, this time the MSNBC website
