Donald Grump is all atwitter about his Big Beautiful Government Shutdown, which is a wet dream for “Russell Vought, he of Project 2025 fame".  

In case you’ve forgotten, here are some of the lowlights of Pee 25:

     ·         Replace merit-based civil service workers with loyal appointees.
·         Abolish the Department of Education and cut federal education funding.
·         Reduce corporate taxes and implement a flat income tax.
·         Cut Medicare and Medicaid funding.
·         Roll back environmental regulations to favor fossil fuels.
·         Implement stricter immigration policies, including mass deportations.
·         Weaken labor unions and worker protections.
·         Allow minors to work in hazardous jobs without parental consent.

What could possibly go right?

According to one-time Ted Cruz protégé and budding slime mold Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT), Project 2025 monstermind Russell Vought has been dreaming the same dream since he “hit puberty”. Apparently, Mr. Vought has not matured one bit since that moment. His dream was and is simply put, the destruction of our constitutional democracy. He is a fascist. He is a fuckwit. Vought is a megalomaniacal moronic sadist. Stuck in his undeveloped early-teen brain. This walking pile of excrement is currently Director of the United States Office of Management and Budget. You know, because Trump never heard of Project 2025 and all.

Donald Trump repeatedly insisted (i.e., lied through his dentures) that he neither knew nor wanted to know anything about the fascist Project 2025 during the 2024 election. That could only mean that he was the only person in the entire United States (Remember the United States?) was unfamiliar with the widely publicized manifesto. Trump immediately hired numerous authors of various chapters of Vought’s putrid opus as well.

Thanks to these two treacherous cretins our very democracy is currently treading water with our cement shoes in Vought’s fascism-polluted ocean of greed and immature idiocy.

Vought is not the first Ratpublican malcontent who had an idea as a child and held onto it like a dead dog with a chew toy throughout what passed for adulthood. The other spiteful shithead was one Grover Norquist. Remember him? Grover made his name as a political activist and anti-tax advocate; he is founder and president of Americans for Tax Reform – you know, no taxes on the rich and fuck everyone else. This sniveling shitweasel’s claim to fame was the statement “I don't want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.” Cute, huh?

Norquist began his professional, childish anti-tax bullshit during the Reagan years, eventually rising to the level of being able to coerce his fellow feces fondlers to sign ATR's “Taxpayer Protection Pledge”. Prior to the November 2012 election, 238 of 242 House Republicans and 41 out of 47 Senate Republicans had signed this short-sighted  

Norquist was instrumental in securing early support for the presidential campaign of then-Texas Governor George W. Bush. And that is all that needs to be said about that.

Steve Kroft, in the November 20, 2011 episode of 60 Minutes, claimed that “Norquist has been responsible, more than anyone else, for rewriting the dogma of the Republican Party.” It has only deteriorated since.
