Finally, after Trump’s year-plus relentless authoritarian assholery and presidential crime spree, he has been called out and shut down by the Supreme Court on his failing, asinine and now officially illegal tariffs. These tariffs were always illegal, it’s just that neither Trump nor this Court has ever taken such issues into account in their actions and decisions, respectively.

This time though, even two of Trump’s appointees – Gorsuch and Coney Barrett – and the chief justice chose the Constitution over the authoritarian they helped create.

The Don held a press tantrum to excoriate the Supreme Court’s 6-3 decision that the Constitution does not allow a president to levy taxes, which despite all they endless lying by Trump is what tariffs are, in peacetime.

Trump accused the Court of being all the things he is, because – say it with me – Donald Trump is only and always talking about himself.

Now, this grifting gonif needs to pay everyone back all the money he just stole from us.

This Court, that has given Trump just about everything he wanted, and much more than the vast majority of legal scholars believe is commensurate with our Constitution, finally does something he does not like and, as Trump always does, he throws them under the next convenient bus. Because in his fragile eggshell mind, you either agree with him 100% of the time, or you deserve to die.

And that’s the way it is.
