I find it confusing
(i.e., intensely enraging) that journalists and talking heads continue to report
on “promises Donald Trump made during his campaign” that he has, for one reason
or another not kept. Seriously? Why can’t they just be honest? Trump did not
and demonstrably is incapable of promising anything for any reason. He can only
lie. That is what he does. Lie. It is his default setting and it has never
been, cannot and will not be otherwise. It is his superpower.
The latest example
is this headline:
Trump Admits Ballroom is Already Massively Overbudget
The fuck it is. We called
bullshit when he first lied about the cost of this wasteful, classless boondoggle
of an ego project. The “pricetag” was already ballooning before the original
lie even passed his sphincter-like lips, on his lying face under his lying
“hair”. Why must the media pretend that the number(s) he pulled out of his ass
to begin with had even the most tenuous affiliation with anything within a
light year of the truth. It is just not possible, and anyone who has not
figured this out by now should immediately be replaced by AI. And I hate AI.
Any day now, El
Destructo will be telling us how he plans to lower the final cost by 500 or 10,000
or eleventy million percent because he loves America so much.
Desperate people, stupid people, people who just want a fascist, bigot rapist and repeatedly-convicted criminal to be their voice, are either taken in by his incessant lies or happy to pretend along with Trump that he is not lying. But he can’t not lie.

He croaks (if only)
on and on about how he is stopping illegal drugs from entering our country by
blowing up tiny little boats he claims without a shred of evidence are carrying
drugs and then murdering any witnesses who survive his kill, kill, kill agenda,
while simultaneously freeing drug kingpins. Trump has freed 90 drug lords so
far.* The most recent of rescue drug lords shepherded 400 tons of cocaine into
this country (bragging that he wanted to “shove the drugs right up the gringo’s
noses”), got caught, was tried and convicted in an American court of law, and
received a 45-year sentence only to have Donny Druglord grant him a full pardon
after serving less than one fucking year in jail.
Trump
recently talked about invading Venezuela, saying “Now we’re starting by land,
and by land is a lot easier. And that’s gonna start happening. We’re not gonna
have people destroying our youth, destroying our families.” He may or may not
have added, “That’s my job, and no one is better at it than Trump.”
We do
need to be careful not to cut this lying dog any slack just because of the
tsunami of dementia pommeling him into oblivion. Thankfully, he seems to be
nodding off constantly. Just don’t wake him up. You wouldn’t like him when he’s
awake.
As we
now always say around here, just let lying dogs sleep.

*As of this writing Trump has still pardoned
more drug lords than sex criminals, though he just pardoned another couple of
those. Game recognizing game.
