Country Joe McDonald, R.I.P.
A great American
patriot, singer and songwriter known to most as Country Joe McDonald has left
us. Country Joe died yesterday at the age of 84. Country Joe and the Fish burst onto the
scene after their appearance at the Woodstock Music and Arts Festival in Bethel, New
York in 1969. The most memorable song came during Joe’s solo set. It was his beloved Feel-Like-I’m-Fixin’-To-Die-Rag.

vet, Joe sang about the war, those who served and about environmental issues
throughout his long career.
