I'm
having more and more trouble deciding whether I think Biden should drop out.
But I have to say one thing about what seems to worry so many people: Joe Biden
will not be able to make it through another four years as president. This
completely misses the point. The point is that Biden does not have to serve his
entire second term.
According
to the rigorous calculations recently crunched by the incredible Data,
Statistics, and Utter Bullshit Department here at Paying Attention™, we are
absolutely certain that Joe Biden only has to make it to just after noon on
January 20, 2025. Not one minute longer. This is not about being morbid or
disrespectful, this is not a joke; on most counts Biden has been a great
president. Much better than anyone could have expected, especially given his
long Senate career as the senator from Citibank. Look, no one is perfect -
especially American presidents - but Biden has accomplished a great many things
for real people, despite having to deal with a rabidly vengeful and resolutely
stupid Fascist/Trump Party
majority in the House. The disloyal opposition
is more like Lord of The Flies, though that is something of an insult to flies.
Here's
the deal: once Joe Biden is sworn in for a second term, he could go to bed for
as long as he pleases, get himself a dose of Rent-A-Coma, simply resign and
hand the reins over to Kamala Harris, or go right off to to a
lovely farm upstate.
