Koan For The Day

Riddle Me This

October 24, 2021

If you’re not familiar with the concept of Zen koan, it is a kind of riddle/conundrum, but one that cannot and must not be answered using everyday logic. Koans are part of the path to enlightenment in the Zen tradition. The answer to a Koan must come from a place of Zen-and-now. There are stories of adepts answering a koan, being immediately struck by their teachers, and at that moment attaining enlightenment.

Paying Attention brings you a modern-day riddle wrapped in an enigma:

Do you think when Frankie Valli’s dad told him to, “Walk like a man, talk like a man…” that he did so in a falsetto voice?

The Four Seasons - Walk Like A Man

This has been your Paying Attention Koan For The Day.

You're welcome.

What is your response for the day?
