Apparently, Donny’s best darlings – long-time-squeeze Hope Hicks and daughter/mistress Ivanka – came up with a brilliant plan to make him look great again after word got out that he had spent the previous Friday night cowering in the White House bunker, with all the upstairs lights off because angry protesters were in the neighborhood.  Naturally, after several days of what in other circumstances would be brainstorming, Chrump suddenly realized that he was actually in the bunker for inspection purposes. What a coincidence.
 
The Chrump girls thought that in order to counteract Chrump’s emergency bunker inspection, it would be a good idea for Donny Dearest to pose with a Bible to create an iconic image for posterity. It turned out not so much iconic as moronic. Chrump looks like he’s holding up an active wasps nest and has no idea what to do next.

Chrump had the streets of DC violently cleared of peaceful protesters (and some clergy for good measure) so that he, in order to show how strong and brave he was, walked from the White House to St. John’s Church, surrounded by a veritable army of law enforcement in addition to his usual phalanx of Secret Service in order to pose for his tremendous photo op.

Before disrespecting the Bible and all it is meant to stand for, Chrump went after the Constitution by threatening to sic the United States military on American citizens to put down protests on the streets of America. Chrump intends to implement martial law despite opposition from the governors of various states Der Furor intends to teach a lesson. He is clearly desperate to make America great again. Quickly and bigly.

When white invaders blithely committed genocide on this land’s original people of color

When slavery was the law of the land

When only land-owning white men were allowed to vote

When traitors demanded “states’ rights” and attempted to overthrow the government of the United States, completely not about keeping their slaves

 

When, if we absolutely could not have slaves, segregation kept black people where they belonged, as second-class citizens

When the KKK freely roamed the land burning crosses, lynching black people and persecuting Jews and Catholics

When civil rights marchers – mostly black people – were attacked with vicious dogs and fire hoses and billy-clubs

When the National Guard shot peaceful student protesters to death

When police could kill black people with impunity

When the House Un-American Activities Committee ruined people’s lives by accusing them of being communists

When Trayvon Martin was minding his own business only to be stalked and killed by an unhinged white vigilante in the name of stand-your-ground

This is the America longed for by Chrump and his MAGAts. This is the America Chrump’s mostly white sheeple believe is their God-given right. Do not doubt that many Chrump supporters would happily own slaves, would happily see protesters beaten or worse, are fine with police killing unarmed black people for any or no reason. Chrump said “MAGA loves the black people.” This is what polite people call unadulterated bullshit. No one believes it. Chrump certainly doesn’t believe it. There are very few very fine people on his side.
